Two projects of Sumy State University became the winners of the competition "Advanced Science in Ukraine 2026–2028", which will be implemented with the support of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.

Within the framework of the competition, the project "Multicomponent thin-film alloys with combined magnetoresistive, electrochemical and magneto-optical properties for use in new generation energy and microelectronic systems" received funding (90.9 points).
Among the main executors of the project is Oksana Petrovna Gaponova, professor of the Department of Applied Material Science and Technology of Constructional Materials (Sumy State University).
The aim of the research is to establish the regularities of the influence of the conditions of obtaining and the structural-phase composition of multicomponent thin-film alloys on their functional properties with subsequent practical application in microelectronics and energy, in particular for the creation of effective catalysts and highly sensitive magnetic sensors.
We congratulate Oksana Petrovna and the entire project team on the victory and wish them successful implementation of scientific results!
